FIRST YACHT WITH RENEWED SYNAPSE INTEGRATION HITS THE WATER

The first installation of the new Synapse integration has been completed! 'Spiip', a beautiful Swan 88 that is graceful and innovative from bow to stern, hit the water last week. The yacht is equipped with Sailmon's E4 processor, which acts as the heart of the onboard system. This processor delivers fast, accurate, and reliable data, processing a multitude of other inputs, including Synapse's load cell data. Since the addition of Sailmon to the North Sails Group, the Sailmon and Synapse teams have worked intensively to make this milestone happen.

'Spiip' has a slightly different rig package compared to other yachts in our group of companies, with a particular focus on pushing performance and harnessing the latest technologies—both digital and composite (and where the two intersect). With performance, reliability, and comfort guaranteed by her Hall Spars carbon rig, 'Spiip' is equipped with EVOsix hybrid rigging from Future Fibres, used at the highest level of racing by the likes of the Ultim Sailing class. Her forestay, backstay, and two checkstays are fitted with integrated Synapse load monitoring technology, providing personalised performance insights, target settings, and safety information. Also powered by our partners at North Sails, this incredible synergy—from rig to rigging to sails to instrumentation—all talking to each other in perfect harmony, was brought together by the experts at RigPro, who took the reins for assembly.
