Over the past weekend, the serene waters surrounding the Dutch town of Muiden set the stage for the eagerly anticipated Dutch Championships in the Star Class. As part of the esteemed BIG(3) Series, the event offered captivating races against scenic backdrops. Sailmon was on hand to capture the excitement on the water, providing a unique combination of accurate data and captivating images for the benefit of the organisation, participants, and fans.

Despite being one of the oldest one-design sailboats globally, the Star Class has seamlessly embraced modernity with the introduction of the Sailmon Racing concept. The outcome? The sailing event was orchestrated in a more accessible, visually engaging, and digitally enhanced manner. MAX Mini's were fitted on each boat to meticulously record movements, while the Sailmon App collated all data, transforming it into comprehensive race analyses. The media team, armed with aerial drones, seamlessly integrated data and visuals into the app. Co-organiser Michiel van Dis reflects on this technological workflow with satisfaction.
