USA: every picture tells another story

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Discovering different worlds is in our blood, as well as meeting extraordinary people and gathering new experiences. At Sailmon, we constantly aim at broadening our horizons. From our main office in Scheveningen, we travel all around the world to introduce sailors to our innovative sailing instruments.

The increasing demand of sailors in the USA gave us good reason to go and meet the people behind these demands. Our road trip through and around Boston, Massachusetts and Newport Rhode Island was therefore the logical answer to this growing interest. This is how Richard Kent and I decided to fly across the Atlantic Ocean, late January, to get to know the sailing community. A perfect opportunity to discuss the needs with sailors, inform boatbuilders and inspire dealers. Curious how that went? Here’s our trip in a nutshell.

Sailmon in a pelicase

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Wherever Sailmon goes, the pelicase goes with us. It is our indispensable partner in crime when it comes to rapidly and easily showing our customers all that Sailmon has to offer. Equipped with a built-in battery and WiFi, this self-sufficient device operates by simply unfolding and starting the system. By using the Model E4 processor and the Element 10, we are able to inform our customers about the many advantages and possibilities our systems have in store.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”37167″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]

Homeland of sailing

The marinas in and around Boston, Massachusetts and Newport Rhode Island have proved to be an incredible inspiring environment for us. What better place to meet local sailing communities than, for example, the Newport Yacht Club, homeland of sailing. Unfortunately, our time was limited, leaving us with the distinct feeling that we hadn’t heard all the stories yet;)[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”37171″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]

Many miles to go

Traffic jams can get quite heavy in the Netherlands, but our country also has the great advantage of close proximity. The opposite is true for the USA. Considering we had meetings every day at a wide variety of locations, it sometimes felt as if we were racing against time on endless roads. At the end of the trip, we returned our rental car with an impressive mileage of 6000 kilometers (3700 miles) and zero speeding tickets.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”37172″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]

The world of Motorboats

Our passion is sailing, but that doesn’t mean we don’t cross boundaries when it comes to our sport. Consequently, we have managed to inspire US dealers to install Sailmon on motorboats. Because who doesn’t want to have continuous access to their boat data, even when you are fishing. Currently, Cay Electronics & Marine Voyager Sailmon are exhibiting at the Boston Boat show. It goes without saying that we are very curious about the results and look forward to meeting you soon.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Kim Coster – CEO Sailmon[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
